Overview and Preparation:

PLACE A PAAN LEAF IN A THALI.
SEAT A SMALL EARTHEN MURTI OF LORD GANESHA ON THE LEAF AND BATHE THE MURTI WITH PANCH-AMRITA (A MIXTURE OF CANE JUICE, COCONUT WATER, MILK, HONEY, YOGURT)
PLACE COTTON WOOL - representation of clothing
PLACE SACRED THREAD AROUND MURTI - for protection
PLACE CHANDAN, SAINDHOOR, HALDI, AND ATTAR ON THE FOREHEAD OF THE DEITY.

IN A SEPARATE PAAN LEAF, PLACE THE FOLLOWING OFFERINGS:
Rice, White Sesame, Elaiche, Clove, Camphor, Suparie, Grapes, Silver coins, Prasaad, Neem leaves, Bahama Grass, and Flowers. PLACE THE PAAN LEAF WITH THE OFFERINGS AT THE FEET OF THE DEITY. (Do not offer Tulsai to Lord Ganesh).

PERFORM ARTI FIRST WITH AGARBATTIE AND THEN WITH A LIGHTED DIYAH.
AFTER ALL THE MANTRAS ARE COMPLETE,LEAVE THE DEITY SEATED OVERNIGHT.
NEXT MORNING, BATHE THE DEITY WITH PANCH AMRITAM AND TAKE THE MURTI AND ALL OFFERINGS TO THE SEA. MUST BE FETCHED OVER THE RIGHT SHOULDER AND TAKEN AND PLACED IN THE SEA, LAKE, RIVER, etc. DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS THE FOLLOWING MORNING.

Touch the location where the Devta is supposed to sit and repeat the following:

PEETA PUJA (AASANA PUJA)-Worship of the Seat of the Lord Offer flowers and red rice onto the aasana while chanting the following mantras:

NAVARATNA SIMH-ASANAAYA NAMAHA -Salutations to the throne of nine gems.
ARUNA-ASANAAYA NAMAHA     -Salutations to the throne of crimson color.
KAMALA-ASANAAYA NAMAHA    -Salutations to the lotus seat of the Lord.
PADMA-ASANAAYA NAMAHA     -Salutations to the lotus posture of the Lord.
TANMADHVAE ADHAARA-SHAKTAI NAMAHA -In the middle of the seat Adharashaku,
the all-supportive energy. Salutations!
MULA-PRAKRATIYAE NAMAHA    -Salutations to the primordial energy.
KURMA-AYA NAMAHA           -Salutations to the divine boar energy that restored the earth.
ANANTA-AYA NAMAHA          -Salutations to the infinite energy.
PRATHIVY-AYA NAMAHA        -Salutations Mother Earth.
SKANDA-AYA NAMAHA   -Salutations to Skanda Subramanya, the son of Shiva.
PATRA-EBHYO NAMAHA         -Salutations to all of the sacred leaves to be offered to God.

BIJA-EBHYO NAMAHA          -Salutations to the seeds, nuts and grains to be offered to God.

MAHAAPANNAGA PEETA-AYA NAMAHA -Salutations to the great serpent seat (the symbol of Kundalini Shaki)

INSTALLATION OF LIFE GIVING FORCES INTO THE MURTIE:

For invoking the energy of God in the image, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva themselves are the saviors. The four Vedas are the meters. The transcendental energy of God is the prana shakti and all the mystical words like Hram are the seed syllables; HROOM is the cosmic energy invoked; HROOM is the key through which the door of the energy is opened – thus the ritual of the installation, that is offered to God.
